Louis and Auguste Lumière were pioneer contributors to the birth of film, however their interest in the medium turned out to be brief, so they decided to turn their talents to photography. In 1903 they patented a colour photograph process, the 'Autochrome Lumière' which was launched on the market in 1907, making this year the 100th Anniversary.
