Once upon a time in 1835, Hans Christian Andersen published his first book of fairy tales. It included beloved tales such as ‘The Princess and the Pea’, ‘Thumbelina’, and ‘The Tinder Box’. As part of the 175th anniversary celebrations of Andersen’s first book, the British Virgin Islands issued an enchanted coin featuring stories from the first book, as well as Andersen composing his tales and a central image of ‘The Little Mermaid’. One side of the titanium coin is blue, while the other is golden. It is the world’s first bi-colored Titanium coin!
