Commemorating the Bicentenary of the Death of Admiral Horatio Nelson - 2006 Unc Cupro Nickel

Due to the success of this outstanding coin issued in 2005 on behalf of the Government of the Falkland Islands to celebrate the bicentenary of the victory of the British Fleet at the Battle of Trafalgar the issue limit has been reached but Pobjoy Mint is delighted to re-issue this coin with a 2006 dated obverse to commemorate the bicentenary of the funeral of Admiral Horatio Nelson.

Approved by Buckingham Palace the obverse of the coin carries a fine effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and is dated 2006.  Each precious metal coin has been struck four times to achieve the lustrous Pobjoy finish under the auspices of the National Maritime Museum, London who’s Nelson and Napoleon exhibition during 2005 was a huge success.
