The Bank of Seychelles appointed Pobjoy Mint to produce a very significant and attractive coin on its behalf, in order to welcome the new Millennium.
The design of the coin is based on time and features time pieces through the ages. The design is quarterd and shows a Candle Clock, a Sun Dial, a Traditional Clock with Hands, and the latest Ditigal Technology. By using the technique of a latentn image, the coin itself shows an overall 3D effect, whereby the year 1999 changes to 2000 when the coin itself is moved.
