Queen Elizabeth II is unique in that she is the first ever British Monarch to have a reign long enough to achieve a Sapphire Jubilee. We have decided to honour Her Majesty by releasing a beautiful ‘double-headed’ coin!
The coin depicts the exclusive Pobjoy designed Queen’s effigy facing right on the obverse and left on the reverse. In order to make this coin special we have struck the obverse in relief and the reverse incuse, which adds new levels of complexity to the striking process.
In order to represent the year that the longest-serving British Monarch took to the throne, Pobjoy Mint is striking 1,952 of these 1oz fine silver coins. All of our coins are produced to the highest quality and have been struck four times to produce a glorious mirror finish.
