In 2001 Pobjoy Mint issued a series of coins to celebrate the ties between Sierra Leone and the People's Republic of China. These coins were to commemorate the Lunar Year of the Snake featuring some classical Chinese design of the Snake.
People born during this year are considered charming, sometimes deceptively so, and although romantically inclined are often steered by the mind rather than the heart, and apt to be a bit stingy. All in all though they make good and faithful friends and partners.
