Pobjoy & Powerboat Racing
Back in the glory days of offshore powerboat racing, the Pobjoy family enjoyed great success - and plenty of thrills and spills - in numerous iconic endurance events.
Both Derek Pobjoy and his brother Adrian were keen competitors, with Derek's wife Verena also entering the fray.
London-Calais-London, the Round Britain and Cowes-Torquay-Cowes were among the impressive list of international races in which Pobjoy Mint and Mint Jewellery competed during the 1970's and 80's.
But the crowning glory for Derek Pobjoy was winning the coveted Harmsworth Trophy in 1979/80.
